Recapping the week of SEC football and around the country

Putting this out a little later in the week than usual, maybe it will lead to a little uptick in mojo. We did not deserve last week’s negative weekend.

Weekend Recap

Florida dominated as expected from start to finish. Everyone in the world now is ready to crown Florida as a contender. While I do think they make the playoff this year with their schedule, I do not think they are a national title contender. We’ll see in a few weeks when they play Texas but there’s a chance Texas stinks too!

Miss State/LSU Parlay we had to work for this one on the Miss State side. LSU rolled as expected. This game boiled down to the final drive by Missouri and if they had scored we would have hit the over. Miss State went through a serious lull in the middle of the game which hurt our over chances.

Auburn might stink

Tulsa does stink but so does Arkansas so don’t let them fool you.

Week 5 Card

Auburn/Tenn under 54 – I was not impressed by Tennessee’s offense last week against Texas. Auburn playing on the road is going to look to slow this game down in my opinion.

South Carolina -3 – This program is at it’s absolute lowest right now after getting blown out and having their star defensive end Dylan Stewart get suspended indefinitely for being a bad teammate. No where to go but up from here against a suprinsingly ranked Kentucky Team. This is a Kentucky team that has no business being ranked. They got their assess whooped by Bama and then beat a below average A&M team. No wonder the line is -3 but I bet Kentucky takes public money based off of their ranking.

Texas A&M -13.5 – I may end up playing the Arkansas game every week. This is a classic get right spot her for A&M. The fans are getting loud about Marcel Reed so I bet Elko will try to get some good looks for him.

Non SEC Lagniappe

Ohio State -14 – Iowa had no business evern being in last week’s game with Michigan. Early and often from OSU here.

Season Record: 11-11-1, -1.1u

Bonus Horses

I will be at Belmont Park Saturday afternoon for some horses around the country and then attending Devils vs Islanders at night across the street at UBS. Should be a great time, I can’t wait.

Belmont

Race 7 – 5 Bounce Back looks sharp in here with Fresu who is making a name for himself out east.

Race 9 – 7 Velora looked really impressive in her 2 wins.

Race 10 – 2 Regent’s Park may have won last out with an added half furlong. Huge gallop out past Omaha Spirit who will be favored in a turf stake at Santa Anita. She improved in her first try on turf, I like her to take another step forward.

Keeneland

Race 8 – 2 Lush Lips looks like shes sitting on a new best at 8-1 here.

Good Luck if you’re tailing!
