OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Thursday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $49,757 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s 10-race Empire Showcase Day program for New York-breds.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $460.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Sunday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 as Venti Valentine [No. 3, $9.90] took the nine-furlong $250,000 Empire Distaff with Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard for trainer Jorge Abreu.

Trainer Mitchell Friedman sent out the next winner with the Dylan Davis-piloted Cara’s Time [No. 7, $7.30], who captured the 6 1/2-furlong $150,000 Iroquois in Race 6. One race later, the upsets continued with Light Man [No. 1, $19.20] winning the $150,000 Hudson at the same distance with Kendrick Carmouche in the irons for conditioner Bruce Levine in Race 7.

In Race 8, the 1 1/16-mile inner turf $200,000 Ticonderoga, the Abreu-conditioned Moonage Daydream [No. 1, $7.30] rallied to victory with Flavien Prat up. In Race 9, the 1 1/16-mile outer turf $200,000 Mohawk, Spirit of St Louis [No. 1, $3.20*] closed to victory under Manny Franco for four-time Eclipse Award winner Chad Brown.

With 3-of-9 horses left uncovered in the Race 10 finale, the nine-furlong $250,000 Empire Classic, the Romero Maragh-piloted and Jimmy Ferraro-conditioned longshot Mama’s Gold [No. 8, $82.50] won in pacesetting fashion, triggering the carryover.

Thursday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 1:41 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 12:40 p.m.

America’s Day at the Races will present live coverage and analysis of the Belmont at the Big A fall meet on the networks of FOX Sports. For the broadcast schedule and channel finder, visit https://www.nyra.com/aqueduct/racing/tv-schedule/.
