OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Thursday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $48,657 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s nine-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $416 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Sunday’s sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Nelson Avenue [No. 2, $21.40] prevailing in a one-mile optional-claiming event for 3-year-olds and up with Dylan Davis at the helm for trainer Wayne Potts.

The Rachael Keithan-trained Mo Damorninggrouch [No. 7, $50] made every pole a winning one under Lane Luzzi to capture a six-furlong maiden claiming turf sprint for state-bred fillies and mares in Race 5 followed by the Rick Dutrow, Jr.-trained and Irad Ortiz, Jr.-piloted Call Me Harry [No. 8, $9.20] scoring in Race 6, a nine-furlong inner turf test for New York-breds 3-years-old and up.

Luzzi doubled up in Race 7 by guiding the Potts-trained mutuel favorite Mon Petit Chou [No. 5, $5.50*] to victory in a six-furlong claiming sprint for fillies and mares.

Dutrow, Jr. and Ortiz, Jr. teamed up to win their second race in the sequence when Gaslight Dancer [No. 10, $7.40] rallied to victory in Race 8, a six-furlong starter optional-claiming turf sprint for 3-year-olds and up.

With 5-of-11 horses covered in the Race 9 finale, Shade of Pale [No. 7, $16.40] rallied down the lane to win the nine-furlong inner turf maiden for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up and trigger the carryover. Manny Franco engineered the winning ride for four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.
