OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Saturday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $35,882 after the multi-race wager went unsolved during Friday’s nine-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $397 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

The sequence began in Race 4 with the favored Two for Charging [No. 4, $6.20*] taking a 6 1/2-furlong claiming sprint with Flavien Prat aboard for trainer Jorge Abreu. Race 5 saw the favorite Mauritius [No. 5, $4.40*] capture a 1 1/16-mile turf claimer with Hall of Famer John Velazquez in the irons for conditioner Tom Morley.

Race 6 featured Soloshot [No. 5, $5.60] victorious in the six-furlong NYSSS Cupecoy’s Joy with Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard for trainer Lolita Shivmangal’s first stakes victory. The following race, the Destin Heath-conditioned Yo Banana Boy [No. 1, $51] netted an upset victory when setting the pace under Luis Rivera, Jr. in a six-furlong maiden tilt for state-breds in Race 7.

The upsets continued as Anileate [No. 4, $18.60] took a nine-furlong inner turf starter allowance with Francisco Martinez in the irons for trainer James Ferraro in Race 8.

With 11-of-12 horses left uncovered in the final leg [Race 9], the Chris Englehart-trained and Irad Ortiz, Jr.-piloted favorite Bunny Honey [No. 12, $5.20*] triggered the carryover after taking the 1 1/16-mile state-bred maiden tilt over the outer turf.

Saturday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 6 at 3:08 p.m. Eastern. First post on the 11-race card that features the Grade 2, $200,000 Bed o’ Roses [Race 10] is 12:35 p.m. Eastern.
