OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $28,038 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $519 to bettors who selected 4-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Hagrid’s Flame [No. 5, $12]taking a nine-furlong New York-bred allowance with Ruben Silvera aboard for trainer Jamie Ness.
Conditioner Wayne Potts sent out the next winner with the Sahin Civaci-piloted Arcadian [No. 8, $21] capturing a one-mile starter optional claimer, in Race 5. One race later, Civaci earned his third win on the day as Mischief Lady [No. 8, $9.70] took a 6 1/2-furlong state-bred optional claimer for trainer Edward Barker, in Race 6.
In Race 7, Notmysteppingstone [No. 3, $16.80] continued the upsets with Lane Luzzi aboard in a six-furlong claimer for conditioner Bruce Levine. In Race 8, a one-mile state-bred optional claimer, Malu [No. 5, $13] closed to victory under Kendrick Carmouche for meet leading trainer Linda Rice.
With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 9 finale, a one-mile state-bred maiden claimer, the Gary Sciacca-trained and Katie Davis-piloted Landauer [No. 8, $80.50] rallied to nail the favored Accidental Bid at the wire at odds of 39-1.
