OZONE PARK, N.Y.— Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $21,550 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $217.75 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
The sequence began in Race 3 with Mr Bob [No. 1, $5.80] taking a six-furlong claiming tilt with Manny Franco aboard for trainer Mertkan Kantarmaci. Post-time favorite Munny Grab [No. 4, $4*] followed in Race 4 with a one-mile state-bred optional claiming conquest under Kendrick Carmouche for conditioner Horacio De Paz.
Race 5 saw the Marialice Coffey-trained Dolly’s Bank [No. 1, $8.20] capture a 6 1/2-furlong state-bred maiden claimer with Isaac Castillo aboard, one race before Ocean Gateway [No. 7, $2.80*] romped to victory in a one-mile starter allowance with Dylan Davis in the irons for trainer Christophe Clement in Race 6.
The day’s featured Race 7, a one-mile optional claimer for older fillies and mares, went to the Adam Rice-trained Bustin Bay [No. 1, $21.80] to give Carmouche his third win on the card.
With four horses left uncovered in the final leg [Race 8], the Cleveland Johnson-trained and Romero Maragh-piloted Indianquest [No. 9, $89] triggered the carryover when elevated to victory after Strategic Decision crossed the wire first but was disqualified for interference in the shadow of the wire of the one-mile maiden claimer.
Friday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at 2:20 p.m. Eastern. First post on the eight-race card is 1:20 p.m.
