OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $16,549 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $121 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday’s sequence began in Race 3 with Ariana Rye [No. 1, $13.80] scoring a starter allowance win under Sofia Vives for conditioner Rob Falcone, Jr. The Linda Rice-trained Strapped [No. 2, $4.40*] followed with a claiming victory under Dylan Davis in Race 4.
Race 5 saw the Romero Maragh-piloted Furry Fox [No. 6, $5.70*] graduate in a state-bred maiden claimer for conditioner Rick Dutrow, Jr., one race before My First Love [No. 4, $10.20] notched a claiming victory in Race 6 with Jose Lezcano aboard for trainer Rob Atras.
Christopher Elliott then guided Mybronxbaby [No. 7, $5*] to a state-bred optional claiming score in Race 7 for conditioner James Ryerson.
With three horses left uncovered in the Race 8 finale, the Juan Bernardini-trained Comanche Peak [No. 4, $20.60] delivered the biggest upset in the sequence to win the maiden claiming tilt under Ruben Silvera and trigger the carryover.
Friday’s sequence kicks off in Race 4 at approximately 1:39 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 12:10 p.m.
