WHAT:
The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will unite with racetracks across the country as part of the Permanently Disabled Jockeys’ Fund (PDJF) Day Across America at Saratoga Race Course.
The centerpiece of the day will be a special meet and greet and autograph session featuring riders from the Saratoga jockey colony with a suggested donation to PDJF.

The third race of the afternoon will be named to recognize PDJF Day at Saratoga.
A trio of graded stakes headlines the final Saturday in July as Belmont Stakes winner Essential Quality will lead a field of 3-year-olds in the Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy, the traditional prep for the Runhappy Travers. The star-studded card will also feature the Grade 1, $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap and reigning champion sprinter Whitmore, the 8-year-old gelding who won the Breeders’ Cup Sprint last November. The Grade 2, $250,000 Bowling Green will be highlighted by multiple Grade 1-winning turf veteran Channel Maker.
The 2021 summer meet at Saratoga Race Course runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 6. Racing is conducted five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, with the exception of the final week, when the meet will conclude on Labor Day.
