OZONE PARK, N.Y. –The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has canceled live racing following Race 2 on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack due to high winds currently impacting the New York City metropolitan area.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for sustained high winds and gusts in excess of 40 mph.
The Grade 3, $175,000 Pebbles [Race 3], which will be run at 1 1/16-miles on the outer turf, and the $150,000 Forever Together [Race 7] will be brought back on Sunday, November 23 with entries to be taken on Wednesday, November 19.
Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting and wagering is also available via NYRABets.com.
Live racing is slated to resume Thursday at Aqueduct with a nine-race card. First post is 12:10 p.m. Eastern.
