Norberto Arroyo, in the midst of a great comeback and resurgence of his career, is going to have to miss a few weeks of riding.
He was forced to return to Kentucky for a family emergency, and will time that with a suspension he has to deal with stemming from some minor riding infractions at the Santa Anita fall meet.
Norberto was leading rider at the recently concluded Del Mar Bing Crosby meet, something nobody could have expected or anticipated, even Norberto himself.
I spoke to Norberto, and he is determined to resume riding on February 18, and pick up right where he left off, staying focused and landing in the winner’s circle. He has already shown us not to underestimate him.
“I had to return to Kentucky for a family emergency with one of my children. It just made sense to get my days out of the way now. I can’t wait to get back. I already miss riding.”
Makes sense to me. Get back fast, Norberto Arroyo.
