Tattersalls are to auction a bronze maquette depicting Queen Elizabeth II with mare and foal, by Etienne Millner & Charlie Langton.
The life-size bronze statue, unveiled in 2016 by the late Queen, is now a well-known landmark in Newmarket and stands at the entrance to the Rowley Mile. Only twelve maquettes were cast and Queen Elizabeth II was presented with the first.
This, the twelfth and final maquette, will be auctioned at Park Paddocks before the opening session of the new Sceptre section of the December Mares Sale, on Monday 28th November.
The bronze (dimensions 60 x 45 x 40cm) is available to view at Park Paddocks from Monday 21st November.
Speaking about the upcoming auction, Hon Frances Stanley DL, Chair of the Trustees at the National Horseracing Museum said, “We are thrilled to be able to offer this unique bronze as a tribute to our late Queen. Our thanks go to Tattersalls for enabling us to reach out to an international audience.”
