Jockey Quotes
Umberto Rispoli, Lord Bullingdon, Winner: “It was a very good trip, I sat behind the speed. Last time I have to say it was my fault, I didn’t give him a chance to get his legs under him. Today he was a different horse. He dragged me up there, I found the gap at the top of the stretch, and he did the rest. He is a very good horse today, acting more professionally. He probably likes it here better than Del Mar, but part of that loss at Del Mar I had some regrets about my ride, and I take full charge of it. Today he proved that I was wrong.”

Trainer Quotes
Michael McCarthy, Lord Bullingdon, Winner: “It was great. I thought we needed a little help upfront today and today fractions were pretty moderate actually, 49 and two is basically walking here. Horse was able to lay up close to the outside pocket and Umberto found a great seam. The horse responded nicely for him. Great way to end the year.”

Owner Quotes
Dick Colbart, Part Owner, Lord Bullingdon, Winner: “What is great is doing this with the family. The first horse I ever bought was with three friends from college in 1967 so to have the family involved it is really terrific.”
