Kevin Krigger Announces Return

December 30, 2016

John “Ace” Da Silva, longtime handicapper for The New York Post, recently turned Jockey Agent, has taken the book of returning jockey Kevin Krigger.

Kevin will be riding primarily at Parx, but will be accepting mounts anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region according to Da Silva. His goal is to surpass his biggest year when he won 165 races. Kevin is best known for riding Goldenscents to victory in the Santa Anita Derby, and exercising I’ll Have Another before he was on the Derby Trail, and ultimately became a Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner. He scratched prior to The Belmont and never went for The Triple Crown.

Kevin Krigger has been on a hiatus of sorts from racing, even trying his hand at “rapping” and recording a “rap” song. Da Silva says the fire is burning and Krigger is anxious to get back in the saddle.

@jonathanstettin  Morning Jonathan, I just read your Piece on its not a Santa Anita thing IT WAS OUTSTANDING. I have been playing horses for 42 yrs since my father 1st brought me to Washington Park. I could not agree with you more. There must be 1 governing board and a commissioner.
