There is a Japanese road to Louisville and the Kentucky Derby. Epicharis tried last year and this year some talented Japanese three year olds will try again.
Obviously it is a much longer road than say Arkansas, Florida, New York, Louisiana, and California, and those long trips haven’t exactly panned out for Dubai Based runners, but who knows? All the Derby streaks and stats end and change at some point and adding some international intrigue in an already puzzling race to handicap can add more opportunities to capitalize at the windows.
