Ocala Breeders’ Sale Release
OCALA, Fla.—The Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2024 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training & Horses of Racing Age begins Tuesday, June 4th and runs through Sunday, June 9th. All six sessions begin at 7:30 a.m.
Tuesday, June 4th: Hips 1- 175.
Wednesday, June 5th: Hip 176 – 350.
Thursday, June 6th: Hips 351 – 525.
Friday, June 7th: Hips 526 – 700
Saturday June 8th: Hips 701 – 875
Sunday June 9th: Hips 876 – 1027 (2YO), Hips 1101 – 1115 (HRA)
The Sale is set for Wednesday, June 12th through Friday, June 14th with each session beginning at 10:00 a.m. Hips 1 -350 sell Tuesday, Hips 351 – 700 will be offered Wednesday and Hips 701 – 1115 will sell on Thursday.
OBS will again offer Online Bidding during the June Sale. Buyers can go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials. Several of the horses in the sale have had noteworthy updates since the catalog was printed:
Hip No. 29, a filly by Cloud Computing, is a half-sister to OBS June graduate First Peace, second in the Daytona Stakes (G3) last week at Santa Anita.
Hip No. 219, a filly by Ghostzapper, is out of a half-sister to the dam of Skelly, repeat winner of Oaklawn’s Count Fleet Sprint Handicap (G3) in April.
Hip No. 342, Kirin, a colt by Lord Nelson, broke his maiden at first asking in a maiden special at Gulfstream Park on My 31st.
Hip No. 476, a colt by Justify, is a full brother to unbeaten Awesome Result, winner of the Empress Hi at Kawasaki in Japan on May 8th.
Hip No. 507, a filly by Candy Ride (ARG), is a half-sister to graded stakes winer Miss Lizzy, who took Santa Anita’s Mizdirection Stakes on May 18th.
Hip No. 578, a filly by Unified, is a half-sister to OBS graduate Freedom Principle, winner of the English Channel Stakes on May 4th at Gulfstream
Hip No. 634, a filly by Catholic Boy, is a half-sister to newly graded stakes placed OBS graduate Happy Is a Choice, third in Oaklawn’s Count Fleet Sprint Handicap (G3) on April 13th.
Hip No. 695, a colt by English Channel, was second in Laurel’s Frank Whitely Stakes on April 13th and third in the Maryland Sprint Stakes (G3) on May 18th at Pimlico.
Hip No. 851, a filly by American Pharoah, is a half-sister to newly stakes placed Towser, second in Gulfstream’s Monroe Stakes on May 18th.
Hip No. 888, a colt by Macleans Music, is a half-brother to Corposo, second in Pimlico’s Black-Eyed-Susan (G2) on May 17th.
Hip No. 910, colt by Army Mule, is a full brother to Midnight Mascot, winner of the Woodstock Stakes at Woodbine on April 28th.
Hip No. 1111, Fantomah, a 3YO colt by Distorted Humor, was second in Laurel’s Frank Whitely Stakes on April 13th and third in the Maryland Sprint Stakes (G3) on May 18th at Pimlico.
The Under Tack Show will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com and via the Blood-Horse, Daily Racing Form, TDN and Past The Wire websites. The workouts will be recorded and can be viewed on the website in their entirety or by individual hip number. They will also be available in the Video Room as well as several kiosks in the breezeway and covered walking ring. Walking videos and conformation photos may be available in addition to under tack videos for each horse.
Visitors to Ocala will find the videos available for in-room viewing at The Courtyard by Marriott, Holiday Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn and the Ocala Hilton, plus lounge viewing is available at the Hilton. Under Tack Show results are posted on the OBS website.
The catalog can be viewed via the OBS website at http://obssales.com. The website’s searchable and sortable master index provides links to under tack videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. It has also been updated to allow shortlist creation. A link to instructions for using the new features can be found in the index header and a step-by-step tutorial is available in the index as well.

Under Tack and sales results are available on the OBS website. Under Tack times and videos are posted shortly after the conclusion of each set, and sale results are updated frequently during each session.
