NTRA Top Thoroughbred Polls
Journalism (Curlin) jumps to number one after his victory in the Santa Antia Derby (G1) with Arkansas Derby (G1) winner D.J. Stable, Ste. Elias Stable, West Point Thoroughbreds and CJ Stables’ Sandman (Tapit) trained by Mark Casse and ridden by Jose Ortiz moves to second.
Journalism is owned by Bridlewood Farm, Don Alberto Stables, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Elayne Stables 5, Robert LaPenta, Mrs. John Mangier-Lessee, Derrick Smith-Lessee and Michael Tabor-Lessee. He is trained by Michael McCarthy with Umberto Rispoli aboard.

Rankings on both polls are on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-1 basis with first place votes in parentheses, 2024 record and total points. A-S: Age-Sex, Sex: C-colt, G-gelding, H-horse, F-filly, M-mare, R-ridgling.
