Shaman Ghost had to run down stable mate Dolphus who rode a dream trip on the lead to a brave second place finish in the Pimlico Special.
I’ve been high on Shaman Ghost a long time. I bet him in The Queens Plate, and had him for second to Arrogate in The Breeders’ Cup Classic from which he scratched.
Considering what he has done since, there is a good chance I was right that day. He’s clearly among the top older horses in the country right now.
