Keeneland Sales Produce 58 Horses Entered in Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Friday and Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky.– Keeneland will hold its inaugural Championship Sale, featuring offerings covering an array of Breeders’ Cup World Championships contenders, talented stakes performers and stallion shares in Horse of the Year Flightline and Grade 1 winner Cogburn, on Wednesday in the Paddock at Del Mar, site of the Breeders’ Cup on Friday and Saturday. The event begins at 5 p.m. PT; the sale starts at 6:30 p.m. PT.

The Championship Sale invites buyers to play at the highest level of Thoroughbred racing. Among the star offerings are ownership interests in Breeders’ Cup entrants Mufasa (CHI) (Big Ass Fans Dirt Mile-G1), Gold Phoenix (IRE) (Turf-G1) and Kilwin (John Deere Juvenile Fillies Turf-G1) along with the full sale of Pandora’s Gift (IRE) (PNC Bank Filly and Mare Sprint-G1).

Keeneland Sales Produce 58 Horses Entered in Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Friday and Saturday

A total of 58 horses who are graduates of Keeneland’s world-famous Thoroughbred sales have been entered in the 41st Breeders’ Cup World Championships this Friday and Saturday at Del Mar in California. With victories in the prestigious event, they will add their names to the list 126 alumni who have won 138 Breeders’ Cup races through 2023.
