Resolute Racing and Miller Racing’s In Our Time used a ground-saving trip under Flavien Prat to post a 1 3/4-length victory in the 29th running of the $400,000 Giant’s Causeway (G2) Presented by Keeneland Select for fillies and mares Sunday afternoon at Keeneland.

Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., In Our Time completed the 5½ furlongs on a firm turf course in 1:02.17. It is the first victory in the race for Joseph and Prat.

Exiting post 7 in the field of 11, In Our Time was first out of the gate. Prat immediately got her next to the rail and allowed favored Shining Star (CHI) to dictate the pace with Saratoga Special (IRE) in closest pursuit through fractions of :21.62 and :44.52.

At the top of the stretch, In Our Time shot through an opening along the inside and powered past Shining Star at the three-sixteenths pole. She quickly opened enough cushion to hold off a late bid from Creed’s Gold.

A Keeneland sales graduate, In Our Time is a 5-year-old Kentucky-bred daughter of Not This Time out of the Cactus Ridge mare Laura’s Pleasure. In notching her first graded stakes victory, In Our Time improved her record to 17-5-6-2 and increased her earnings to $926,492 with Sunday’s $229,400 check.

In Our Time returned $12.88, $6.84 and $5.16. Creed’s Gold, ridden by Javier Castellano, returned $21.16 and $13.80 and finished 1½ lengths in front of Movin’ On Up, who paid $10.28 to show.

Time to Dazzle finished another nose back in fourth and was followed in order by Egyptian Mau (SAF), Pondering, Love Cervere, Saturday Flirt, Shining Star, Saratoga Special and Charlene’s Dream.

Hard to run to the window with that ankle bracelet on lol
