John Sadler, Hronis Racing, Ron Anderson,

March 8, 2020

Yeah we get the whole business is business thing. It is not often we will throw a Low Five at a winner, especially when it is a record third straight Grade 1 Big Cap, but John Sadler, Hronis Racing, and Ron Anderson get one here. Bad enough Ron dropped jockey Umberto Rispoli for John Velazquez after bringing the Italian riding sensation to the US from Hong Kong, but after Gift Box scratches, who had Joel Rosario named to ride, Ron’s other jock, ahem, they bump Rispoli off Combatant for Rosario. Combatant wins, and Rispoli who is winning and riding lights out at Santa Anita deserved the Big Cap, not the second mount fee they’ll pay him. LOW FIVE guys! Karma, it is not always fast, but it comes for ya eventually. As Spike Lee said “Do The Right Thing!”

@pastthewire As always brilliantly written and perfectly toned observations written by @jonathanstettin everyone in the industry needs to read this and view it as a call to action.
