We need more coverage in more places and that leads to growth and handle. That means more for all of you! Show the races and let people watch where they choose. You want them to watch you, PUT ON A GOOD SHOW! It works!

Jason understands all facets of the game and looks at things from every level and perspective. Racing needs guys like this. HIGH FIVE Stewart Elliott 4 wins on the card at Lone Star Park.

I guess any mainstream network coverage is good coverage when it comes to horse racing, but I think the Fox America’s Day at the Races needs Gary Stevens on air, a lot. The show Saturday was barely tolerable at times.

Not quite sure why I saw a dirt race replay during a turf race inquiry, but that gets a Low Five in our book any day!

We are always reluctant to call out riders, we know how tough it is. That said this is professional sports and along with the praise at times comes the critique. Irad gets a Low Five for losing the Charlie Whittingham with Rockemperor, the best horse on Saturday. Too much strangling, too wide on the turn, too patient, and too far off the pace and United who was who he had to get the jump on. Adding insult to injury then gets DQ’d from second…Announcer Frank M gets a low five too for calling Rockemperor in the lead when he wasn’t.

High Five to Maxfield and his connections. They took the Matt Winn in style and punched their ticket to the Kentucky Derby. Great job with this colt, he has really blossomed and matured. You know Mr. Baffert took notice.
