High Five / Low Five
High Five!
High Five Chad Brown. He gets another Belmont Oaks win and this one on Bobby Frankel’s birthday with McKulick. McKulick was named for Chad’s first employee, Mary McKulick. A special win for sure! High Five Mr. Bob Baffert. He returned with a bang and a runaway winner in Rhetoric.
Low Five!
LOW FIVE Juan Vazquez. Should have been a lifetime ban, but we will take what we can get. Buh Bye
Low Five!
Low Five to all the armchair jockeys who preached how Flavien Prat would dominate the New York circuit. Prat is a great rider, don’t mistake the point. The NY colony is deeper than California right now and it is not easy to just walk in and dominate. He’ll do great and may wind up Top Gun, but he was never going to walk into an automatic throne situation. Not in that room.
High Five!
Charge It, Life is Good, and Olympiad! High Five to all and their connections. None could have been more impressive in their dominant wins on Saturday.
High Five!
HIGH FIVE Westover and all his connections for a big win in The Irish Derby. Colin Keane gets his first Irish Derby for Juddmonte Farms.
High Five!
High Five Deshawn Parker, 6000 wins! That is a resume and a half. Bravo Deshawn!
Low Five!
The non DQ of The Ridler at Royal Ascot shows just how important it is for our rules in the states regarding disqualifications to be revised. Don’t punish the bettor!
High Five!
High Five a great international week of racing at Royal Ascot…..
Low Five!
No Low Fives this week…..we hope, it is Royal Ascot week!
