Tops June Digital Sale

The June Digital Sale closed early Tuesday evening with 60 horses sold for $2,247,200. The catalogue featured two-year-olds, horses of racing age, breeding stock, and yearlings.
Graded stakes winner Cairo Consort (Hip 26) topped the sale and established a new Digital Sale record when sold for $820,000 to Town and Country Racing from the consignment of Highgate Sales, agent. A 4-year-old daughter of Cairo Prince, Cairo Consort is a stakes winner at 2, 3, and 4. At 2, she won the Catch A Glimpse S. and placed in the both the Natalma S. (G1) and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) on her way to Sovereign Award Champion 2-Year-Old Filly honors. Last year at 3, Cairo Consort captured the Sweetest Chant S. (G3) and Ginger Brew S. So far this year at 4, Cairo Consort has added the Sand Springs S. to her list of accomplishments. To date, Cairo Consort has a record of 5-2-4 from 16 career starts and earned $651,692.
Other top sellers included:
Snow Princess (Hip 1), a young daughter of Quality Road, offered in foal to Taiba for 2025, sold for $145,000 to Charlie Allen, agent for CAG LLC. Bluewater Sales, agent, consigned. The mare is a half-sister three winners, including graded stakes winner Into Chocolate (Into Mischief) and graded stakes placed Secret Keeper (Into Mischief). Her dam, Candy Drawer, is a Candy Ride (ARG) half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner and stakes producer Harmonious.
Nasty Habit (Hip 23), a 5-year-old racing/stallion prospect by Violence, sold for $120,000 to Steven Young, agent, from the consignment of Farrior Racing. A two-time winner this year, Nasty Habit is a full brother to graded stakes winner Raise Cain and hails from the immediate family of Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (G1) winner Unrivalled Belle and her daughter, two-time champion and multiple Grade 1 winner Unique Bella.
“We are very excited about the results for racehorses, topped by graded stakes winner and multiple Grade 1 performer Cairo Consort,” said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton’s Director of Digital Sales. “It’s gratifying to get such a positive result on such a nice filly, for the sellers and the buyer. We learned it’s a bit more difficult to sell broodmares this late in the spring, but the action on the racehorses and yearlings offered was consistent with previous sales. We’re very pleased with those results.”
At the end of active bidding, 60 horses had sold for $2,247,200, good for an average of $37,453. The $820,000 sale topper was a new record on the platform.
