Klaravich Stables’ Fully Subscribed doubled up on graded wins and lived up to her 1-2 post-time favoritism in Sunday’s Grade 3, $200,000 Comely, a nine-furlong route for sophomore fillies, at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Trained by five-time Eclipse Award-winner Chad Brown, the daughter of Tiz the Law entered from a local 4 1/2-length romp in the Grade 2 Mother Goose on November 8, and notched her third lifetime victory from five starts. She graduated on debut last October here and was away from the races for 11 months before returning to hit the board in a pair of allowance-level tilts this September ahead of the Mother Goose.

The win marked the third straight in this event for Brown, who captured the 2023 and 2024 editions with Raging Sea and Pretty Ana, respectively.

Ridden by Flavien Prat, Fully Subscribed emerged from post 5-of-7 among the topflight and raced in the three path as Hall of Famer John Velazquez and Kappa Kappa took command between her and Noticeable to the inside and marked the opening quarter-mile in 24.01 seconds over the fast footing.

“She gave herself a good trip,” Prat said. “She broke very well and I was able to get myself in the race and kind of stick with the filly of Johnny Velazquez. I felt like I was in control the whole way.”

Kappa Kappa and Fully Subscribed were clear of Noticeable and the tracking Quietside down the backstretch as the half-mile elapsed in 49.23. The pair widened the gap entering the turn as Prat let his charge out a notch and Ricardo Santana, Jr. nudged along Quietside through three-quarters in 1:13.56, but Fully Subscribed showed no signs of weakening as they straightened for home and Kappa Kappa yielded along the inside.

Prat only needed to shake the reins for Fully Subscribed to draw off handily down the stretch from Quietside and a belated Ourdaydreaminggirl, giving a few left-handed taps of the crop to keep her to task as she drove home a four-length winner in a final time of 1:50.55.

Quietside held onto place honors by a nose over Ourdaydreaminggirl with another 2 3/4 lengths back to Yes It Tiz, who was deemed to have been in the hands of the assistant starter at the break and following a stewards’ inquiry was declared a non-starter. Valtellina was subsequently elevated to fourth to complete the superfecta with Kappa Kappa and Noticeable rounding out the order of finish. Ruth was scratched.

Prat said the tangled beginning for Yes It Tiz may have altered the pace scenario he envisioned.

“We thought the one on the outside [Quietside] and Johnny would go [forward] but it was a bit of a messy start and my filly jumped so well, I didn’t want to take anything away from her,” Prat said. “It felt like the pace wasn’t crazy and I wanted to keep her in a good position, but he [trainer Chad Brown] told me she was a good filly and she had a good run – and she showed it.”

Bred in Kentucky by Payson Stud, Fully Subscribed was a $300,000 purchase at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training. She is out of the winning Candy Ride mare Sweetbaby and her second dam is multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Rutherienne. Fully Subscribed banked $110,000 in victory while returning $3.14 on a $2 win bet.
