Everyone who saw sire Frankel’s first U.S. victory was visually impressed with the performance. Rubilinda, trained by Chad Brown, was more than ready for her debut.
Chad, being a Bobby Frankel protégée, whom Frankel was named after, could not be expected to have it any other way. Rubilinda missed the break and spotted the field several lengths. It didn’t matter as she charged into contention, angled outside in the stretch like an experienced horse and just blew past the field.
Although the figures for the race didn’t come back particularly fast, sometimes you just have to believe your own eyes.
