Early Kentucky Derby run-down by Keeneland Dan and Jimmy Mcnerney

April 19, 2022

Is it ever too early to talk Kentucky Derby? Probably not, but it definitely isn’t when we know all the point positions and all the Kentucky Derby preps have been run. Sure there is weather, the draw, rider assignments and all the other intangibles as well as angles to consider but a little early speculation never hurt anyone.

On this episode of Past the Wire TV  Keeneland Dan, or Dan Cronin, or even Fat Bald Guy, whatever you want to call him is fine, is joined by another astute handicapper Jimmy Mcnerney. Jimmy is not only a handicapper he is a jockey agent, and the track announcer at Turfway Park and Ellis Park. These two gentlemen provide their thoughts on each and every one of the Kentucky Derby potential runners.

The Pick 6 King himself, Jonathan Stettin, known to pick a winner or two moderates and hosts the discussion throwing in a tidbit or two and asking some questions about the panels reasoning and potential concerns.

You’ll get a good Kentucky Derby head start right here!

We have a lot more to come including our Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby seminar that you definitely don’t want to miss. Keeneland Dan also has Kentucky Derby info on his site and you’ll find links in the comments below.

We hope you enjoy Dan and Jimmy and take away some good angles for the first Saturday in may and the Run for the Roses!
