Delaware Park Cancels Live Racing Card 

For Wednesday Due To Excessive Heat Index Forecast; Entire card transferred to Thursday, July 11

WILMINGTON, Del.—Acting upon the recommendation of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission (DTRC) veterinarians and stewards, Delaware Park has cancelled the live racing card scheduled for tomorrow due to the excessive heat index forecasted by the National Weather Service to be above 105º for the region.  

The entire live racing card scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, will be transferred to Thursday, July 11. 

2024 Live Racing Dates – Live racing will be conducted on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday weekly format for most of the 2024 meet.  Friday cards will be added to the schedule on the following dates: August 2^nd, August 9^th, September 13^th, September 20^th, September 27^th, October 4^th and October 11^th. Closing day for the live racing season is October 12^th.  Daily first race post time of 12:30 p.m.
