Fasig-Tipton November Sale
Fasig-Tipton Release
Trenchtown Cat, the dam of yesterday’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) runner-up Mr. A. P., has been supplemented to Monday’s Fasig-Tipton November Sale as hip 227. The nine-year-old mare will be consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency.
Mr. A. P., the second foal out of Trenchtown Cat, established himself as one of the best of his crop with a fast-closing second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile behind undefeated multiple Grade 1 winner Ted Noffey. He earned a 96 Beyer Speed Figure in the race, having entered the Breeders’ Cup off a maiden victory at Santa Anita on October 13.
On the track, Trenchtown Cat was a multiple stakes winner and graded stakes placed earner of $236,945. The daughter of Discreet Cat is a full sister to Japanese graded stakes winner Air Khalifa and graded stakes placed Princess Princess.
Her first foal, three-year-old filly Ibuki, is a three-time winner this year. Her current yearling colt by Constitution sold for $325,000, and she has a weanling filly this year by Not This Time.
Trenchtown Cat is offered in foal to McKinzie, already the sire of three Grade 1 winners. McKinzie had seven yearlings sell for $500,000 or more this year.
