Coolmore America Named Presenting Partner Of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 25, 2019) – The Breeders’ Cup announced today that Coolmore America, based at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, and part of the world’s largest Thoroughbred breeding operation, has been named Presenting Partner of the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1), which will be run at the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Friday, Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships, one of the world’s most prestigious Thoroughbred racing events, featuring 14 races with purses and awards totaling more than $30 million, will be held on Nov. 1-2.

The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf is a one-mile race contested over the Santa Anita turf course for two-year-old males on “Future Stars Friday,” which will feature five Breeders’ Cup races for two-year-olds on the first day of the World Championships. 

This year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf – Presented by Coolmore America will be televised live on NBCSN and other international outlets with a post time of 4:52 p.m. ET. The Juvenile Turf spotlights young stars who have competed thus far in top caliber races in England, Ireland, France, Canada and the United States.

Coolmore America’s Ashford Stud stands to some of the best young sires in the United States, including 2015 Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup Classic winner American Pharoah, and 2018 Triple Crown winner Justify. Five sons and daughters of American Pharoah have been pre-entered to compete in this year’s World Championships.
