Colts by First Samurai and Laoban fastest at Spring Sale’s sixth session

Colts by First Samurai and Laoban turned in quarters in :20 2/5 to share honors for the fastest work at the distance at the sixth session of the Under Tack Show for Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2020 Spring Sale of Two Year Olds in Training.

  • Hip No. 1007, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is a bay colt by Laoban out of Evangelical, by Speightstown, a half sister to graded stakes placed Worship the Moon.
  • Hip No. 1034, a dark bay or brown colt by First Samurai consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is out of stakes winner Flat Out Charming, by Flatter, a daughter of stakes winner Gentle Charmer.

Hip No. 1299, a daughter of Liam’s Map consigned by Cary Frommer LLC, Agent, worked the session’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 4/5. The dark bay or brown filly is out of Ebony Moment, by Smart Strike, a daughter of graded stakes winner Ebony Breeze.

Four youngsters, all consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, worked quarters in :20 3/5.

  • Hip No. 982, a chestnut colt by Shackleford, is a half brother to champion Monomoy Girl out of Drumette, by Henny Hughes.
  • Hip No. 1010 is a bay filly by Firing Line out of graded stakes winner Ever Nice (ARG), by Mutakddim, a half sister to champion Ever Peace.
  • Hip No. 1018, a bay colt by Quality Road, is a half brother to graded stakes placed stakes winner Standard Deviation out of False Impression, by A.P. Indy.
  • Hip No. 1298 is a gray or roan colt by California Chrome out of Diva Style, by Unbridled’s Song, a half sister to classic contender Tiz the Law.

  • Hip No. 912, a chestnut filly by Speightster consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, is out of Cozy Cabin, by Forest Camp, a half sister to stakes winner Deputiformer.
