Jockey Nik Juarez, with the help of trainer Kelly Breen, showed what class in racing or anywhere for that matter is really about.
We have all seen owners really step up and do the right thing, trainers also. We have also seen some not do the right thing. This was a little different and Nik Juarez went above and beyond and out of his way to give Valid, the stakes winning gelding he rode so well a nice permanent retirement home.
Nik is known as a fine young rider and gracious young man, but he really stepped up here and hopefully set an example for all, of us. Fine job Nik and may you be paid back tenfold by this great game you play.
