To Take Place Oct. 30 At Del Mar Thoroughbred Club
Breeders’ Cup Release
DEL MAR, Calif. — Breeders’ Cup Limited, the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority (HISA), the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) will host a media briefing focused on safety and integrity at the 2024 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. PT in the Paddock Club at Del Mar.
Experts from the Breeders’ Cup, Del Mar, and the CHRB will discuss the industry-leading equine safety protocols that will be in place for the Nov. 1-2 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar.
Additionally, HISA CEO Lisa Lazarus and HIWU Executive Director Ben Mosier will provide an overview on HISA’s Racetrack Safety and Anti-Doping and Medication Control Programs.
The panel will take questions from the media during a moderated Q&A session. Any requests for media availability outside of the Q&A session must be submitted in advance to Claire Crosby (ccrosby@breederscup.com), Vice President of Communications for Breeders’ Cup Limited.
The briefing is open to credentialed members of the media. Media who are unable to attend in person will be able to view the briefing via the Breeders’ Cup YouTube channel.
