Two Pools of 24-Wagering Interests Slated for Aug. 5 and Sept. 2
LEXINGTON, Ky.― The Breeders’ Cup, in conjunction with Keeneland Race Course, announced today the introduction of future wagering on this year’s $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). The future wager will enable fans to bet on 24 wagering interests for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic well in advance of the Nov. 5 race date. Odds on horses in the future pools typically provide more value to horse players than those available on race day.
The future wager requires a $2 minimum bet and is a win wager only.
The Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic Future Wager will be conducted in two pools. Wagering on the first pool will open on Friday, Aug. 5 at 12 p.m. ET. and conclude at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 7. The second Future Wager will be offered over Labor Day weekend with the pool opening on Friday, Sept. 2 at 12 p.m. ET and ending at 6 p.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 5.
Both future pools will consist of 23 unique wagering interests and one “All Others” wager for a total of 24 betting interests. “All Others” includes all Thoroughbreds other than the pool’s individual horses.
Betting on the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic Future Wagers will be offered at race tracks, advanced deposit wagering (“ADW”) sites, casinos, simulcast centers, and off-track betting sites.
