America’s Day at the Races to present live coverage

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – America’s Day at the Races, the acclaimed national television show produced by the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) in conjunction with FOX Sports, will present live coverage of the Breeders Crown eliminations on Friday and Saturday from The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N. J.
On Friday, October 18, America’s Day at the Races will present Breeders Crown elimination coverage from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. on FS2 as part of a broadcast that will include all the action from Friday afternoon’s thoroughbred card at Belmont at the Big A.
Friday’s Breeders Crown coverage will feature nine $25,000 eliminations for 2-year-olds from The Meadowlands, while the 10-race Belmont at the Big A card kicking off at 12:40 p.m. is co-headlined by the Listed $150,000 Glen Cove in Race 5 and the $135,000 Carle Place in Race 9.
Jessica Otten and Gabe Prewitt will anchor Friday’s Breeders Crown coverage from The Meadowlands, while Greg Wolf, Acacia Clement and Paul Verderosa will provide additional reporting and analysis from Aqueduct Racetrack.
On Saturday, October 19, America’s Day at the Races will offer in-depth coverage of the Breeders Crown eliminations for 3-year-olds and open divisions from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on FS2.
Saturday’s programming will again feature Jessica Otten and Gabe Prewitt onsite at The Meadowlands with Chris Griffin and Paul Verderosa providing commentary from the Big A.
The 2024 Breeders Crown finals will take place the following weekend at The Meadowlands with continued coverage on America’s Day at the Races on Friday, October 25 from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. on FS1 and on Saturday, October 26 from 7:30 – 11:00 p.m. on FS2.
The Breeders Crown finals will feature live in-depth coverage from The Meadowlands with Acacia Clement, Paul Verderosa, Jessica Otten and Gabe Prewitt live onsite.
The Breeders Crown is a year-end championship series of races for trotters and pacers, divided by the traditional categories of age, gender and gait—showcasing the stars of the Standardbred sport. A Crown title is a conclusive factor in Horse of the Year and all divisional Dan Patch balloting.
