Bolt d’Oro is among the horses considering the Preakness. Obviously a lot depends on the status of Kentucky Derby winner Justify.
Justify either had scratches or a bruised hoof depending on whether you believe Bob Baffert or Dr. Mary Scolly the director of equine medicine for the Kentucky Horse racing Commission. She claims to have found a bruised hoof while Bob reported it was a minor skin condition the horse had been treated for in the past. Such conditions are common with Chestnuts.
Good Magic and Bravazo, both Derby runners as was Bolt d’Oro, are also under consideration. I’d think if Justify runs the field will be pretty small swelling of course if he passes. My money is on Bob and I would think Justify is in the gate in Maryland.
