Repole Stable’s Always Shopping, who broke her maiden in stakes company, heads a field of nine probable starters in the $250,000 2019 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (Grade 2) at Pimlico Race Track on May 17 in the test for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/8 miles.
Always Shopping, trained by Todd Pletcher, will try to make it three in a row after taking the Feb. 3 Busanda Stakes and April 6 Gazelle Stakes (Grade 2), both 1 1/8 miles at Aqueduct.
Todd Pletcher said;
“This seems like a natural progression for her. She’s improved each spot, and two turns and 1 1/8 miles seems to suit her well. Everything has gone well for her since the Gazelle.”
