NTRA Top Thoroughbred Polls
With no positions moving and no horses moving up into the Top Ten Mindframe remains strong on the Poll at number 3 receiving two top spot votes this week. The Todd Pletcher trainee will likely make a start before his trip to the Breeders’ Cup.
Nominated to both the 1-1/8 miles Lukas Classic (G2) as well as the one-mile Ack Ack (G3) the 4-year-old Constitution colt could make a start at Churchill Downs on September 27.
The unflappable Sovereignty remains at number 1 with a near unanimous 26 votes from the 29-member panel with one top spot vote for Thorpedo Anna who sits at number 5 on the poll.
Other contenders with runner up votes include Pacific Classic (G1) winner Fierceness (City of Light), Sierra Leone (Gun Runner), recently second in the JC Gold Cup (G1), Journalism (Curlin), runner up in the Pacific Classic, and She Feels Pretty (Karakontie {JP}), recent winner of the E. P. Taylor (G1) at Woodbine.
Next start for most is likely in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and Distaff November 1 at Del Mar.

The Top Thoroughbred poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year. The Top Thoroughbred Poll concludes on Tuesday, November 4 following the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
