Special Double wager to feature Grade 1 Champagne from Belmont at the Big A and Group 1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced it is partnering with FOX Sports to present live coverage of Sunday’s 2025 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France.
Sunday’s special broadcast will air on FS1 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Eastern, with the €5 million [approximately $5.8 million] Group 1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for 3-year-olds and up going 1 1/2 miles on the turf slated for Race 5.
This year’s edition will see Aventure attempt to avenge a second in last year’s running for conditioner Christophe Ferland off a score in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille in September at the same site. The 4-year-old Sea The Stars filly is an Irish homebred for Wertheimer and Frere.
The Arc is part of the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series with the winner earning automatic entry into the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Turf on November 1 at Del Mar.
Champagne-Arc Double
NYRA will host a special Double wager on October 4 featuring Saturday’s Grade 1 Champagne at Belmont at the Big A and Sunday’s aforementioned Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The wager features a $2 minimum and 18.5 percent takeout.
The Champagne, a one-turn mile for juveniles, is a “Win and You’re In” event for the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on October 31 at Del Mar. The Champagne is slated as Race 7 on Belmont at the Big A’s 12-race card which will be televised on FS1 from 12-4 p.m.
The Champagne-Arc Double will kick off a NYRA Bets $20 Deposit and Bet Bonus, which will run weekly through October leading up to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
