America’s Day at the Races, the acclaimed national telecast produced by the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) in partnership with FOX Sports, will air 21.5 hours of coverage Thursday through Sunday, featuring graded stakes action from Belmont Park and Closing Day at Churchill Downs.
Presented by America’s Best Racing and Claiborne Farm, America’s Day at the Races will broadcast at least 4.5 hours of live racing coverage every day on FS2.

Saturday’s broadcast will feature five graded stakes in total, including the Grade 2, $250,000 Mother Goose, a 1 1/16-miles test for sophomore fillies at Belmont that will see the undefeated Three Chimneys homebred Always Carina, conditioned by four-time Eclipse Award-winner Chad Brown, making her stakes debut against a compact field of five led by Stonestreet Stables’ graded stakes winner Clairiere for Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen. The one-turn test is carded as Race 8 with a post-time of 4:40 p.m. on Belmont’s 10-race slate.
Also featured on Saturday’s Belmont card is the $100,000 Wild Applause, a one-mile Widener turf test for sophomore fillies. Wertheimer and Frere’s Grade 1-placed Alda will be in search of her third career stakes score for trainer Graham Motion as she takes on a talented nine-horse field that will feature two contenders each from Brown [Minaun, Nevisian Sunrise], Christophe Clement [Bye Bye, Bubbles On Ice] and Hall of Famer Bill Mott [Lovestruck, Alwayz Late.]
A quartet of graded stakes from Churchill’s loaded Saturday card includes the Grade 2, $300,000 Fleur de Lis [Race 5, 2:45 p.m.] for older fillies and mares led by multiple Grade 1-winner Letruska; the Grade 3, $150,000 Bashford Manor [Race 9, 4:55 p.m.], a six-furlong sprint featuring a field of 11 juveniles; the Grade 2, $300,000 Wise Dan [Race 10, 5:26 p.m.], a 1 1/16-mile turf test for older horses topped by multiple graded stakes winning New York-bred Somelikeithotbrown; and the Grade 2, $600,000 Stephen Foster [Race 11, 5:59 p.m.] at nine furlongs for older horses led by Godolphin homebred Maxfield.
