Jockey Umberto Rispoli has elected to remain in Southern California where he is currently enjoying a fine Santa Anita meet. Rispoli has hired veteran agent Scotty McClellan to handle his book. McClellan was previously agent for Joe Talamo who moved his tack to Oaklawn Park. McClellan was the long time agent for Chris McCarron prior to handling Talamo.
Rispoli has been somewhat of a sensation since arriving on the Southern California circuit. He is currently 4th in the standings at Santa Anita where he has won 33 races from 148 mounts. That’s a 22% win percentage. Rispoli is in the money 52% of the time and his mounts have earned just over 1.5 million dollars this year.
