Recapping the week that was in SEC Football and looking ahead to the upcoming week
Kevin Gazzale
We had an up and down week last week. We crushed in our SEC picks but struggled in the non-conference slate. Some easy no doubters and some brutal breaks. Let’s look back on Week 6.
Week 6 Recap
Oklahoma – we had to fight for this one but ultimately the handicap was right, the OU defense played extremely well and kept the game close and eventually the Red River Shootout nuttiness showed itself. Arch Manning stinks.
Georgia – we had to work for this one and the weather and field conditions helped. Unfortunately I think I like Bama if they need again.
Ole Miss – pure domination wire to wire.
Tennessee – I have reached the end of the line with fading Arkansas. They are too bad where there is no chance you get a teams best effort. The game quickly becomes a slog because no one cares.
Purdue – dominated Minnesota in a no doubter.
Iowa State, WVU, Penn State – all had chances to cover but could not get over the hump, dissapointing.
Week 7 Card
LSU -14 – I’ve been hearing and reading rumblings that Kamario Taylor is going to be out. LSU should be able to move the ball and I think the defense can bounce back.
Oklahoma -6.5 – back to back huge games and performances for UK, I think they run out of juice here. OU seemed to find themselves late in the game last week.
Tennessee +8 – this is purely a number and spot play, over a touchdown in a rivalry game with Bama coming off a dissapointing loss and now going on the road.
Texas/Purdue ML Parlay -101 – Texas bounce back and Purdue is going to keep it rolling against a dreadful Washington program.
Non-Conference Lagniappe
Indiana +3.5 – I just think Indiana has more guts then OSU, big game at home. I’ll take the defending champs.
