A permanent home honoring the players, wagers and unforgettable scores that helped shape gambling history, with nominations now open to the public.
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Aug. 11, 2026 – PRLog — Past the Wire has formally launched the Gambling Hall of Fame, a permanent home created to recognize the players, wagers and unforgettable scores that deserve a place in gambling history. Every gambler has a story. The horse nobody else could see. The championship future booked months early. The impossible parlay. The contest score, poker hand or casino wager that required knowledge, nerve and conviction. Too often, those stories are eventually forgotten. The Gambling Hall of Fame was created to preserve them.
The Hall recognizes the people behind the bets, including horseplayers, sports bettors, handicappers, contest champions, professionals and fearless amateurs who saw something others missed and put their judgment on the line.
“Great bets deserve to be remembered, but so do the people who made them and the thinking that made them possible,” said Past the Wire founder Jon Stettin. “This is not a popularity contest or another list of famous names. We want the ticket, the story, the reasoning and the proof. If a wager belongs in gambling history, we want to preserve it and let the person who made it tell the story.”
Every submission will be reviewed by the Past the Wire Gambling Hall of Fame Committee. Consideration will include the wager’s difficulty, the odds overcome, the reasoning behind it, the significance of the moment and the supporting evidence. Tickets, account histories, contest results, published selections, videos and social media posts may be considered. Not every nominee will be selected. Past the Wire may request documentation, verify claims, decline a submission or revoke an induction if material information is later found to be false or misleading. Inductees will be invited to appear on “Champions & Connections: The Rogues’ Gallery” to tell the story behind the wager. Each inductee will receive a permanent profile featuring the winning bet, supporting evidence and complete interview. The first induction interview has already been completed.
Jon Stettin, a professional horseplayer known as the “Pick 6 King,” is the Hall’s founding inductee. He has recorded more than $3 million in Pick 6 scores, including taking down the Gulfstream Park Rainbow 6 twice during the same meeting.
The Gambling Hall of Fame is accepting self-submissions and public nominations. Every case begins with the same essential elements: the player, the wager, the reasoning and why it deserves to be remembered. You made the bet. You cashed the ticket. Now tell us why it belongs in history.
