Hit the Road is out of the Breeders’ Cup Mile

HIT THE ROAD has been scratched from tomorrow’s Breeders Cup Mile due to spiking a fever.

This is disappointing news, but we all recognize that it is part of the sport and we’ve learned to live with the setbacks as much as we’ve appreciated the highs of winning and participating.

Trainer Dan Blacker issued the following statement this morning:

“Sad to report we have to scratch Hit The Road from BreedersCup Mile as he has a fever. So disappointed for his great group of owners. Unbelievably bad timing and bad luck. We will get him healthy, regroup and point for the next race.’
