Dynamic Pricing stormed to the front to dominate the Forver Together, NYRA Photo

Klaravich Stables’ Grade 1-winner Dynamic Pricing employed a powerful turn of foot to return to the win column in Sunday’s $175,000 Forever Together, a 1 1/16-mile Widener turf route for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up, at Belmont Park. The victory provided jockey Manny Franco with his third of four wins on the nine-race card.
Trained by five-time Eclipse Award-winner Chad Brown, the 5-year-old Night of Thunder bay entered from a fifth in the Grade 1 Dunkin’ Diana on July 18 at Saratoga Race Course. Her most recent win was last August at the Spa when capturing the Listed Perfect Sting two starts after taking the Grade 1 Just a Game presented by Resolute Racing there.
“She is quite exuberant, but I feel like she’s got into a real nice training pattern here and she’s relaxed into everything,” said Lee Vickers, assistant to Brown. “Chad said it as well that she’s finally blossoming, she looks great and fantastic – got a win, brilliant.”
Over turf rated good on Sunday, the Irish-bred Dynamic Pricing earned her fifth stakes score and her third on less-than-firm going, including the Just a Game and Grade 2 Edgewood in May 2024 at Churchill Downs. She banked $96,250 in victory while improving her record to 16-6-1-4 and returning $5.80 for a $2 win bet.
“She relished the bit of cut in the ground with that European breeding on that side, but with the slow pace, that does go against her, [and] she needs a strong gallop to get into the race,” said Vickers. “That soft ground helped her get home there in front of the others.”
Dynamic Pricing exited the outermost post five and settled into fourth position, 3 1/2 lengths off the pace set by Modarosa through the opening quarter-mile in 25.37 seconds.
Dynamic Pricing traveled to the outside of Table Flirt, behind Modarosa and Ashikidah, with the favored Destino d’Oro trailing in last-of-5 through the half-mile in 50.12. The complexion remained the same as three-quarters elapsed in 1:13.47, and Modarosa tried to sprint away once straightened for home.
“It’s soft ground – at the three-eighths pole, she kind of spit the bit a little bit so I had to get her into the bridle again,” Franco said. “I knew the ground doesn’t bother her; she won on it before. The horse on the lead kept on going because it was a slow pace, but my filly was the best in the race, so I rode her that way.”
Ashikidah couldn’t push by Modarosa, who was asked for more by Kendrick Carmouche as Dynamic Pricing revved up from the back. Dynamic Pricing was set down by Franco and edged Modarosa by a neck in a final time of 1:43 flat.
“At the quarter-pole, when I tipped her out to the outside she started getting into the rhythm and the ground and I said, ‘I’m going to get there,’” said Franco, the reigning leading rider of the Spa summer meet.
It was 1 1/2 lengths back to Destino d’Oro, with Table Flirt and Ashikidah rounding out the order of finish. The Brown-trained Oversubscribed was scratched, as was Ozara, who was scratched due to the soft ground, per trainer Miguel Clement.
Carmouche said the Riley Mott-trained Modarosa was game on the lead.
“Horse ran great, no excuse,” Carmouche said. “The best horse ran me down today. I used the speed, thought I went slow enough, but I should have went slower [laughs].”
Junior Alvarado, jockey of the Brad Cox-trained Destino d’Oro, offered no excuse for the 4-year-old Bolt d’Oro filly as her three-race win streak came to an end.
“I don’t have much excuse,” Alvarado said. “She was going to come from off the pace, period, so she made her move, she just didn’t get there.”
Bred in Ireland by Epona Bloodstock, Dynamic Pricing was a $204,442 purchase from Book 1 of the 2022 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
