Crazy Beautiful set for a Grade One Summer

July 5, 2021

An exciting summer campaign of Grade One targets lies ahead for Crazy Beautiful after Phoenix  Thoroughbreds’ filly notched up her third Oaks win of the year.

The Kenny McPeek trained filly put on a dazzling display as she dominated the G3 Delaware Oaks  on Saturday, following up on her victories in the Gulfstream Park and Summertime Oaks.

“She’s such a professional and every time you lead her over there, you know she’ll give you 100%,” McPeek told Phoenixthoroughbreds.net. “She’s been in a nice rhythm, especially in these two-turn  races and I’m just really proud she’s won a third Oaks race this year. Hopefully, we’ve got more left  in her for more.”

“She’s really improving with every run. She understands the task at hand and she’s really easy filly  to train and she makes my job easy.”

In addition to her Graded Stakes successes, the daughter of Liam’s Map impressed with her runner up effort in the G2 Davona Dale back at Gulfstream Park. Already placed at the highest level, the  galloping gray has earned another shot at the big time, with McPeek aiming the three-year-old at  some of the Summer’s leading fillies races.

“Our goal is to get a Grade One with her.” Said the trainer. “We’ve got the Coaching Club Oaks and  the Alabama in front of us and we’ll probably take a shot at both to see if we can knock out a Grade  One for her.”

Crazy Beautiful has won five of her ten career starts with three second-place finishes, with all three  of those coming at Graded stakes level, and has earned over $700,000 in prize money.
