The draw for post positions for the 2018 Pegasus World Cup will take place today at 11:30 AM.
The run up for the race will be 60 feet. The run up is not nearly as important as the draw will be. Going a 1 1/8th at Gulfstream you come up to that first turn pretty quickly, and it is easy to get hung out wide and lose crucial ground. A wide draw only increases that possibility. With a field of 12, I would not want to be any wider than maybe 9 or 10 but I’d prefer being more inside than that.
The pace will also come into play as to how the draw affects the 2018 Pegasus World Cup field.
