Rick Mocklin

Rick Mocklin is a 47 year veteran of the Thoroughbred racing business. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he’s worked as a track announcer, a trainer, a director of communications, an on-air television and radio show host, and a jockey agent. Rick is also the lead singer of his own band, Rick Mocklin and the Southern Voice Band, and he is the founder and president of the Shantel Lanerie Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit named in honor of the late Shantel Lanerie, wife of jockey Corey Lanerie.

Rick will be covering Thoroughbred racing at all of the Louisiana race tracks.
