Maribeth Kalinich is a racing enthusiast and historian who writes about current racing events, Thoroughbred history and preservation of historic racing sites. Growing up in Baltimore City, Maribeth watched the ponies run at Pimlico and rode horses at Cub Hill in Baltimore County. Well-known in the Maryland horse community, she is an avid supporter of Maryland’s aftercare program, TAA-affiliated Beyond The Wire, as well as an advocate for backstretch workers through her Facebook backstretch employment page. Maribeth currently resides outside of Annapolis, Maryland.
