Anthony Fontaine

September 19, 2019

An avid horse player for more than 30 originally from the Virgin Islands Tony brings a unique perspective to handicapping.  Using speed figures, keen observation,  trip notes and trainer intent Tony regularly picks long priced winners.

After spending 24 years working for the Department of Defense Tony recently relocated back to his homeland St Thomas and began handicapping the premiere meets for other publications.  When the opportunity became available to join Past the Wire Tony leapt at it and his analysis of the remainder of the 2019 Saratoga meet and the upcoming Kentucky Downs and Keeneland meets will appear every race day, along with special coverage of the Breeders Cup 2 day extravaganza.

@jonathanstettin Another great look back by Jonathan at the king of the claimers Oscar Barrera.
