Tacitus Finished for the Year

October 9, 2019

Trainer Bill Mott announced Juddmonte Farm’s Tacitus is finished racing this year and will pass the Breeders’ Cup Classic. The colt is scheduled to be brought back in 2020 for a four-year old campaign. Tacitus was coming off a somewhat dull effort in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. He won the Tampa Bay Derby and Wood Memorial earlier this year. He had a troubled trip in the Kentucky Derby, was wide in the Belmont Stakes and was caught in a disputed pace in the Travers.
